My name is Cynthia Bardales, I was born in Peru and I am a professional designer and artist by vocation. As a child, created stories where the protagonists were animals that taught people how to respect nature.
I loved the idea of giving life to the protagonists and giving them physical shape. I imagined them coming to life, running through the countryside with me and my brothers.
How My Petit Collection was born
I was then offered the opportunity to have my own line of toys for children. And the first thing I thought about was my children and how through the game of play, they learned about current issues. Things like respect for nature and caring for animals. Many of these topics are not taught in today’ schools. The stories in which Claire, Sophie, Katherina, and Atticus meet, always intend to educate.
My grandfather was the director of the village school where I grew up. I was given the opportunity to organize workshops and teach little ones how to weave, sew and paint. The faces of those children still remain in my memory and I always wanted to give back but didn’t know how.
I took advantage of this opportunity to contribute to the education of my country through my work, I took advantage of this opportunity and began contributing to education. For every purchase, a percentage of the profits will go directly to educational projects and children’s charities in Peru and the United States. The knowledge that I gained as a child and that made me the adult will be shared to children across the world. I love enhancing the child we all carry inside!
